Julia Pertuy

Biography

Singer-songwriter Julia Pertuy blends French pop, organic acoustic elements and immersive electronic textures, drawing no line between pop, electronics and acoustic music. Her embodied writing and organic sounds follow in the footsteps of Lhasa de Sela, Daniela Pes, Léonie Pernet and Sigur Rós.

She sings of female strength and vulnerability, intimacy and resilience with disarming honesty, offering a personal yet socially conscious reflection of contemporary life. Her new EP Port Andro (2026) — five tracks including 'Brume du soir', 'Djupiter' and 'Les yeux ouverts' — was named a Radio France favourite; she plays most of the instruments herself, from cello to prepared piano, alongside electronic textures by producer Ralph Heidel.

On stage, Julia Pertuy captivates audiences with a magnetic presence and rare authenticity, balancing strength and vulnerability. Winner of the Prix Claude Nougaro and the Prix du Festival Jacques Brel, and a Chanson Occitanie laureate, she has opened for Terrenoire, November Ultra, Clara Ysé, Klô Pelgag and Ana Tijoux, and showcased at MaMA Music & Convention at Les Trois Baudets in Paris.
