Born in Havana on 29 October 1930, Omara Portuondo is the legendary voice of Buena Vista Social Club and one of Cuba's greatest singers. Her album “Vida”, released on One World Records in 2023, won the 2023 Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album and was nominated at the 2024 Grammy Awards — worldwide recognition for the great lady of son and bolero.
