Yog

Biography

Nobody knows exactly where Yog comes from, nor the origins of his “stupétrange” dialect — what matters is what he came to pass on: an intergalactic groove. A groove that speaks to the body, that makes you want to move, dance, laugh, hug, exchange and share, and to express through good vibrations everything that words cannot formulate. Twisting sounds and instruments, Yog unveils, with every track, a musical picture full of drawers loaded with communicative emotion.

After a first album, Flokness (2022), and close to 150 concerts spreading the “Flokness attitude”, Yog presents Flokness II, a new opus placed under the sign of sharing and collaboration — Dimoné, Mudweiser, Balaphonik Sound System and many others. On stage, joined by Arzoa, his astral double, Yog, with his warm and powerful voice, takes audiences beyond language to meet his galaxy, for an all-you-can-eat groove buffet. His references say it all: sharing bills at Montpellier's Rockstore with Puppetmastaz and Féfé, and at Victoire 2 with Clinton Fearon.

Yog also travels in a young-audience version: Le Secret du Groove Intergalactik, an interactive concert for young humans aged 6 and up, “renegades and other daring curious minds”. In living musical tableaux, Yog and Arzoa tell their origins, their journeys and their battles, and come to meet the audience to share the secret of their groove: offbeat moments, enchanted bodies and a permanently frenzied dancefloor — the same intergalactic groove, for the whole family.
