Meurs Libre Prod (MLP Productions)
Independent Guinean urban music label — music production, events, cultural engineering and mediation
Services and activities
Meurs Libre Prod (MLP, also known as MLP Productions) is an independent Guinean record label for urban music, based in Conakry. It belongs to the SARL Degg J Force 3 Bankhi, founded in 2004 by Ablaye Mbaye — its co-founder and president-CEO — and Moussa M'baye, the two brothers of the group Degg J Force 3.
The label specialises in the production of musical works, events, cultural engineering and cultural mediation. It has its own studio, Mach Allah Studios, and runs the Urban Afreeka structure, which brings festival producers, tour promoters and broadcasters to Guinea to sell Guinean urban music. It also organises the Guinea Urban Tour, an annual tour between Europe and North America. In August 2013, MLP set up in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) as MLP Boss, to promote its productions internationally.
Artists on the label: Degg J Force 3, Khady, Masta X. The label has also worked with King Alasko, Banlieuz'Art and Instinct Killers.
