It is not a simple Parisian step added to the calendar: "Connect & Create" is a joint project, thought to two. On the one hand, Lassery Hip-Hop, the great meeting of Guinea's urban cultures, led by the NGO Guinea Challenge and founded by Lefa. On the other hand, La Place, the Parisian centre entirely dedicated to hip-hop. Between the two, the same idea: to circulate artists, practices and imaginations between Conakry and Paris, in both directions. La Place formalized the project on October 22, 2026; the festival, he, was preparing it for a long time — the Parisian stage was already on its 2026 programme.
First time: the Guinean capital. For five days, a residence of creation from France-Guinea brings together artists from both scenes, surrounded by training, professional meetings, conferences and graffiti performances, at the Franco-Guinea Cultural Centre and in the partner places of the city. All under the citizen theme of the edition 2026: road and rail safety.
The organ is expected on Sunday, November 1 at Petit Sory Stadium in Nongo: the big closing concert, with La Fouine leading the bill — an announcement that the festival unveiled on October 14 and that made the effect of a bomb in Guinean rap. The artists of the joint creation will be party, alongside the official programming of the edition: Kakilambé, Miss Kala Kala, Opinel XII, Shayne, Thiird, Tizzy Miller and Vicky R, among others.
Second time: La Place, in Paris. Three concert evenings have been held in French-Guinean pairs: Thursday, November 5, Vicky R & Opinel XII, two feathers affirmed on international trajectories; Friday, November 6, Thiird & Tizzy Miller, Thiird's drill and intensity against Tizzy Miller's GnB (rap, R&B, neo soul); Saturday, November 7, Shayne, Miss Kala Kala & Kakilambé, an explosive fence between Guinean sounds, trap and punk energy.
Around the concerts: two conferences — on November 5, the discovery of Guinean music in the face of algorithms; on November 6, "Rep Guinean generation", the documentary of Niariu — a graffiti exhibition on November 4 and 5 in La Place, and a fresco performed on November 6 at Spot 13.
At the heart of the project, the artists of the two scenes — on the Guinea side: Thiird, Miss Kala Kala, Gado, Alkaline and Opinel XII; on the French side: Vicky R, Tizzy Miller, Shayne, Remy Uno and Heng — create together, from the residence of Conakry to the Parisian studios. The fruit of this joint work: a four-piece project, thought like the soundtrack of the Conakry Bridge–Paris. Rarely an African festival has built such a complete exchange with a European institution: not an invitation, a co-creation.
