Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known as Adekunle Gold, was born on 28 January 1987 in Lagos, Nigeria. A graphic designer, who drew the official logo of the YBNL label, made himself known in 2015 with "Sade", a highlife cover of One Direction's Story of My Life, before signing at YBNL Nation.

His first album, Gold (2016), began in 7th place on Billboard World Albums chart, carried by "Orente" and "Pick Up". He then developed an elegant and festive universe with albums About 30, Afro Pop Vol. 1 and Catch Me If You Can, and tracks like "High" with Davido.

In 2023, he joined Def Jam Recordings and published Tequila Ever After, his fifth album, released by the single "Party No Dey Stop" with Zinoleesky. On October 3, 2025, Fuji appeared, his sixth album, whose title forms the acronym "Finding Uncharted Journeys Inside".
