Ameka Zrai
Ivorian singer-singer, self-proclaimed inventor of "pop ivory", Ameka Zrai drilled in 2025 with "HAPPIEST" and was one of the African Artists to Watch 2026 by Audiomack.
Ameka Zrai is a rapper-singer from Côte d'Ivoire, based in Abidjan. He develops a style that he calls "pop ivory", a mixture of hip-hop and atropop nourished by contemporary Ivorian sounds.
His breakthrough came in 2025 with the title "HAPPIEST", which was extracted from his first album MERCON2BABIÈRE, produced by Diby Production. He then expanded his audience throughout French-speaking Africa, notably with "Hétat", in collaboration with L'Oiseau Rare, and collaborations with Didi B, Widgunz or Sindika.
Selected by Audiomack from his ten African Artists to Watch for 2026, he released the same year FLANI, an 11-title concept album built around two characters, zrai and pkapka, presented on 10 April 2026 during a release party in Abidjan.
