Anselmo Ralf Andrade Cordeiro, known as Anselmo Ralph, was born on 12 March 1981 in Luanda. After a childhood with a stay in Madrid, where he discovered Juan Luis Guerra, he went to New York to study accounting at the Borough of Manhattan Community College before finally choosing music.

Back in Angola, he published in 2006 "Histórias de Amor" on the label Bom Som: success is immediate in Angola as in Portugal, and he won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Artist in Copenhagen. The album "O Cupido" (2009) attracted record crowds, including more than 40,000 people at Pavilhão da Cidadela de Luanda.

With "A Dor do Cupido" (2013), carried by the immense "Não Me Toca", then "Amor é Cego" (2016), both at the top of the Portuguese rankings, Anselmo Ralph becomes the ambassador of Angolan love songs. "Momentos" (2020) and the EP "Lições de amor" (2025) confirm a career of twenty years at the highest level.
