Ava Peace
From the Karaoke choir to the Ugandan Grand Prix: Ava Peace, a graduate of Makerere signed by Team No Sleep team, is Kampala's female revelation.
Ava Peace, by her real name Maureen Peace Namugonza, was born on 13 January 2000 in Kampala. She started singing karaoke before recording her first titles in Black Market Records, produced by Daddy Andre. In February 2023, she graduated from Makerere University in social sciences.
The same year, "Shabada", recorded with Mudra D'Viral, pushed her into the lead of the Uganda dancehall scene. After their artistic separation in 2024, she joined Team No Sleep (TNS), the team of manager Jeff Kiwa, and followed the successes: "Tabbu" with Dax Vibez, "Batuleke" with Vinka and Winnie Nwagi, "London", "Whiskey".
The year 2025 dedicated it: Breakthrough Artist and Best Female Artist to the HiPipo Music Awards, four prizes at the Zzina Awards and the title of Female Artist of the Year from Sqoop magazine. She continues to publish at a steady pace, from "Daily" to "Mukomboti".
