Ayo Maff
From Bariga to the national rankings: Ayo Maff tells the street of Lagos with a baritone voice recognizable among all.
Ayo Maff, by his real name Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele, was born and grew up in Bariga, in the Somolu neighbourhood of Lagos. He drew direct inspiration from it: his songs tell the reality of his neighbourhood and the daily life of Nigerian youth.
He started in 2023 with the single "Jama Jama", and then the project "Street Anthem / 7 Days" in January 2024. The consecration arrived with "Dealer", in duo with Fireboy DML: the clip, released in April 2024, exceeded 2.5 million views on YouTube and pushed him to the front of the stage.
In August 2024, he released his first EP, "Maffian", which was worn by "Last Week" and "Are You There?". His first album, "Prince Of The Street" (June 2025), confirmed his status as a rising figure of street pop.
