Biographie

Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known as Aira Starr, born on June 14, 2002 in Cotonou, is a Nigerian singer discovered on social media by Don Jazzy, who signed her at Mavin Records in 2021. She started in 2021 with an eponymous EP and then the album *19 & Dangerous*, whose title "Bloody Samaritan" became the first song of a female solo artist to reach 1st place in the Nigerian Top 50. In 2022, "Rush" gave her an international recognition and an appointment to the 66th Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category.

Her second album, *The Year I Turned 21* (2024), made her the first Nigerian female artist to debut in Billboard 200, and she was the most widely heard Nigerian female artist on Spotify in 2024. She remained very active in 2025, with the titles "Hot Body" and "Who's Dat Girl", listed in Mavin Records' official catalogue.
