BRMX
The first Mauritanian artist to produce his own concert at the Nouakchott Olympic Stadium, BRMX has brought the Mauritanian rap of Nouadhibou to the scenes of Dakar, Brussels and Paris.
Born Brahim Ndongo on July 27, 1996 in Nouadhibou, Cansado district, BRMX debuted in 2012 in the BDL Crew, with EP Harre Hadde Success, and won the Assalamalekum Discovery Festival in 2018. His solo EP Sigorigo (2019) and his mixtape Let talent speak, sacred Best Mixtape at the Grammys Koode Hip-Hop, launch its trajectory.
He published the album Dimension (10menxion) in 2022, signed by Boosoya Music on August 5, 2023 — the very day of the release of his EP Transition — and then Jololel on October 19, 2024, the first Mauritanian album distributed via a dedicated mobile app. After a closed-door concert at the French Institute of Mauritania, he performed at Nouakchott Olympic Stadium on November 16, 2024, a first for a Mauritanian artist in self-production.
His clip "Mami Wata" won the Clip of the Year and Hit of the Year awards at the Empreinte Art Awards 2025. In the same year, he sang in Dakar (CICES), Brussels and Paris as part of the African Culture Festival, and he was the guest of the program Colores Tropicales on RFI. His official website, brmx.world, centralizes its news.
