C4 Pedro

Pedro Henriques Lisboa Santos, known as C4 Pedro, was born on 7 July 1983 in Sambizanga, a district of Luanda. He grew up ten years in Belgium, where he started with his brother Lil Saint in the Brothers Lisboa Santos (BLS), before returning to Angola in 2009. His stage name played on "Cry for People": C4, for "cry for", Pedro for his first name.

His first album "Lágrimas" appeared in Belgium in 2007, then "Calor e Frio" (2012), which pushed him internationally. With rapper Big Nelo, he formed the duo B4, whose album "Los Compadres" (2013) filled the Campo Pequeno de Lisbon and the Coliseu do Porto. In solo, "King Ckwa" (2015) and "The Gentleman" (2019) established his status.

He was a singer, guitarist, pianist and producer — he founded BLS Prod / Blue Light Song — and C4 Pedro was also appointed UNAIDS National Goodwill Ambassador in 2015 for raising awareness among Angolan youth. His merger of kizomba, afro-house and R&B makes him one of the most influential voices of his generation.
