Darina Victry
Darina Victry wins the 2017 National Youth Talent Challenge Vacances Competition — Afro-Soul, pop / R&B
Darina Victry, by her full name Darina Jeanne Elandi Mballa, was born on 29 March 2002 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She reveals herself to the general public by winning the 2017 Challenge Vacances competition, the first stage of a fulgurant climb.
In November 2019, she published Let me love you: the title exceeds 40 million views on YouTube in less than two years and becomes the anthem of weddings throughout French-speaking Africa. Her sweet voice and romantic melodies make it a reference of African-soul and Cameroonian pop.
She followed up with Doudou Chou (2022), Validé (2023), then the featureting It came from our home (2024) with Yvi Atia, Phillbill and Zemiro, and the single No regrets (June 2024).
In April 2025, she took a new stage with Vie-Three, her first EP of nine titles, where she invited Locko, Goulam and Cysoul. A work that confirms the maturity of an artist who has become an essential part of the Cameroonian and African scene.
