Taoufik Hazeb, said Don Bigg, born in Casablanca in 1983, is the pioneer of modern Moroccan rap: "Mgharba Tal Mout" has opened the way for a whole generation, and his studio DBF forms the next generation.
Don Bigg, by his real name Taoufik Hazeb, was born on October 8, 1983 in Casablanca. He started in the rap in the early 2000s with the DBA group, before launching his solo career. In 2006, he offered his first album, "Mgharba Tal Mout", which was released for free in Morocco until death.
He followed "Byad or K7al" (2009), with international collaborations including La Fouine and producer Fredwreck, and then "Talet" (2015).In 2013, he founded a professional recording studio in Casablanca DBF Studios, which produced and accompanied many Moroccan artists.
Don Bigg, still active — "170 KG", "Chouka", "Wach Tari" — remains a guardian of Moroccan hip hop, respected for his longevity and his role as a smuggler to young rappers.
