Taha Fahssi, said ElGrandeToto, born in Casablanca in 1996, is the most listened Moroccan rapper in the world: a flow in darija and French, born in the streets of Ben Msick and carried on the largest scenes.
ElGrandeToto, by its real name Taha Fahssi, was born on August 3, 1996 in Casablanca. Passionate about breakdance and rap within the Bnj City Block collective, he started solo and became, by the end of 2010, the most popular voice in Moroccan rap, with titles like "Out of Series" and "Pa Pablo".
His first album, "Camelon" (2021), and then "27" (2023) beat records of listening in Morocco and in the diaspora. He is regularly the most listened artist in the country on Spotify and fills the major theatres, from Morocco to Europe.
His new album, marked by collaborations with Gims, Charlotte Cardin and Sofiane Pamart, confirms his ambition: making Casablanca rap a world music, without denying anything of its roots.
