Fireboy DML
YBNL Nation's Velvet Voice, Fireboy DML brought Nigeria's Afro-life to the top of the world rankings with "Peru".
Fireboy DML, by his real name Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, grew up in Abeokuta, in the state of Ogun, where he sang in the choir of his church. Signed at YBNL Nation, the Olamide label, he revealed himself in 2018 with "Jealous", extract from the collective album "YBNL Mafia Family".
His first album, "Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps" (2019), entirely without guests, is a critical and public success, followed by "APOLLO" (2020), carried by "Tatoo" and "Champion". In 2021, "Peru" became a global phenomenon; his remix with Ed Sheeran propels the title at the top of the rankings in the United Kingdom and the United States.
With "Playboy" (2022), marked by "Bandana" with Asake, then "Adedamola" (2024), Fireboy DML won a long-term victory: in 2025, he filled the Royal Albert Hall in London.
