Biographie

Formed at the school of his brothers and musicians in Kissidougou, Fodé Baro is spotted by Bongi Makeba, of whom he becomes the bassist. Located in Paris, he creates his own cocktail — mandingue tradition, zuk and Afrobeat — and triumphs in 1999 with "Yirikiki", hailed in Gabon by the Africa #1 Prize. His career, led with the label Lusafrica, makes him one of the smugglers of Guinean music towards Europe.
