Gerilson Insrael
An Angolan singer of kizomba and afro-pop, Gerilson Insrael is one of the most popular romantic voices in Portuguese-speaking Africa.
Jerónimo Insrael Alfinete, says Gerilson Insrael, was born in Gabela, Cuanza-Sul province, Angola. He grew up in kizomba, zuk and Angolan urban music, and developed a style he called "ghetto zouk", between romanticism and dance rhythms.
His first album, Protótipo, appeared in 2019 and installed his name on the Portuguese-speaking scene. Titles such as "Deixa", "Corrida" or "Carne com Gindungo", whose official clips cumulate millions of views, made him one of the most followed Angolan singers of his generation.
He was both an entrepreneur and an artist, and founded his own label, XB Label, to keep his production under control. In October 2026, he returned with the single "Isso é que importa", a new page of his ascension throughout the Lusophone African space.
