Innocent Didace Balume was born on 5 May 1997 in Goma, North Kivu. He sang from the age of six in the family group Maisha Soul, and then won the Vodacom Superstar competition, with Akon, with whom he recorded the duo "Up and Away".

After "Ozo Beta Mabe" (2018), "Yo Pe" (2019) and his remix with Diamond Platnumz made him the first Congolese musician to exceed 100 million views on YouTube in 2020. The BBC ranked him among the five African stars to follow in 2019, and his album "Motel 06" appeared in December 2021.

He was the founder of the AfroCongo, and founded the Innocent Foundation, which offered houses to families affected after the eruption of Nyiragongo in May 2021. After the EP "Calculation" (2024), his album "A Arena Way" (2026) devoted him to the foreground of the Congolese scene.
