Djibril Ba, dit Jeeba or Jeeba Abdn, born in Thiès, is an active singer-songwriter and performer since 2017, influenced by Baaba Maal and Youssou N'Dour according to Wikipedia FR. He develops a style that he calls "Jolofbeats", brewing sabar, pop, R&B/soul and neo soul drums, and presents himself as the precursor of the movement "Afrombalakh" in the description of his official clip "Lamou Saff", second extract of his album. His single "Dafa Nekh" illustrates his evolution towards a more traditional mbalax. Music In Africa nicknames him "the prince of the charming song" and announces his return with the title "Guuy".
