Jux, by his real name Juma Jux, is a Tanzanian singer of bongo flava and R&B based in Dar es Salaam. Nicknamed the African Boy, he has established himself as the crooner of his generation, with romantic writing in Swahili and melodies that travel throughout English- and French-speaking Africa. He is also the founder of his African Boy fashion brand.

His collaborations draw the map of African pop: "Enjoy" with Diamond Platnumz (2023), "Ololufe Mi" (2024), "Kipepeo" with Mbosso, "Sexy & Bad" with Stonebwoy. In 2025, his EP "A Day To Remember" tells his love story and his marriage, with the tube "God Design" recorded with Nigerian rapper Phyno.

Awarded Headies in Nigeria as the best East African artist, named at Trace Awards 2025, and then named East African Best Male Artist at AFRIMA, Jux continues the scenes of Lagos in Dar es Salaam, where his Detty December concerts became appointments.
