Ladsmid Nathaniel Owusu, says Lasmid, was born on May 24, 1999 in Takoradi, Western Region of Ghana. After the Takoradi Technical Institute, he won the season 8 of MTN Hitmaker in 2019, winning a recording contract, and signed the label of producer Kaywa at the Highly Spiritual Music.

He was noticed with "Sika" and his remix with Kuami Eugene, then collaborated with Sarkodie, Medikal, Kofi Kinaata and Mr Drew. In 2022, "Friday Night" became viral on TikTok, dominated Ghanaian rankings and made him the heir-designate of Kofi Kinaata according to Pulse Ghana, for his art of singing and rapping at once.

At VGMA 2023, he won the Best New Artist and Best Hiplife Song. He confirmed with "Bad Boy", "Puul" (named at TGMA 2025), then "Olivia" and "No Issues" with King Promised in 2025.
