A Tunisian star revealed as a child prodigy, Latifa has been playing the most successful albums for more than four decades.
Latifa Bint Alaya El Arfaoui, born on 14 February 1961 in Manouba, near Tunis, sings from the age of six and reveals herself on Tunisian television scenes and sets. Adolescent, she goes to study at the Higher Institute of Arab Music in Cairo, a decisive stage of her formation.
Located between Tunis and Cairo, she builds one of the richest discography of the Arabic song, from the tarab to collaborations with great Egyptian composers. Her songs, performed in Tunisian and Egyptian dialects, earned her lasting popularity throughout the Arab world.
Still in studio at over sixty years, she published "Mafesh Mamnua" (2024), "Albi Ertah" (2025) and "Shabhi Bel Meli" (2026) on her Latisol label, revealing each title in a video clip on her official channel. She remained a regular guest of the major scenes, including the International Carthage Festival.
