Marwan Pablo
The "sponsor of the Egyptian trap": since Alexandria, Marwan Pablo imposed a raw and minimal sound that redefined all Arab rap.
Marwan Ahmed Motawea was born on 22 November 1995 in Alexandria. He started in 2015 under the name of Dama, and then became at the end of 2017 Marwan Pablo — a name that crossed two references, painter Picasso and Pablo Escobar.
In 2018-2019, he and producer Molotof put together the tracks that formed the Egyptian trap: "El Gemeza", "Free", "Sindbad", "3ayz Fin".After a withdrawal announced on February 14, 2020, he returned in force with "Ghaba" (25 February 2021, four million views in 24 hours) and the EP "CTRL"; on October 1, 2021, he gathered 26,000 spectators in concert in New Cairo.
His album "The Last Piece of Art" was released in 2023 by Quality Clique, followed by the joint EP "7OB & KAShat" with Abyusif (2024), the projects "PRJKTBLUBEAM" (2024) and "EN7RAF" (2025), and the double release "Bono" / "Ghanima" in 2025.
