Meiway, by his real name Frédéric Désiré Ehui, was born on 17 March 1962 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

In the early 1990s, he created the Zoblazo, the "dance des handkerchiefs blancs", a festive fusion of folk rhythms from southern Côte d'Ivoire and electronic sounds.

His first album, "Ayibebou" (1989), opens a discography of more than thirteen albums, from "200% Zoblazo" to "Legend" (2019), marked with tubes such as "Miss Lolo", "Appolo 95" and "DJ Tassouman".

A citizen of honour of Grand Bassam and an officer of the Ivorian National Order, Meiway also runs his own label, Meiway Organisation.

In June 2024, he celebrated his 35 years of career at the Abidjan Exhibition Park; in December 2026, he celebrated his 37 years of stage with two major Abidjan concerts.
