Neyna
Revealed in 2020 by "Na Bo Mon" with Nelson Freitas, the singer of Praia Neyna was sacred two years in a row Popular Music of the Year at the Cabo Verde Music Awards and sang at the Rock in Rio Lisbon.
Neyna, by her full name Neyna Dary Araújo Monteiro Rocha, is a Cape Verdean singer from Praia, in the Terra Branca district. She is revealed in 2020 with "Na Bo Mon", in duo with Nelson Freitas, a success that exceeds six million views and propels her into the front of the lusophone scene.
She confirmed with "Akanadja", sacred Popular Music of the year 2023 at the Cabo Verde Music Awards, then "Bu Ka Speraba", recorded with Djodje, who won the same distinction in 2024. Her EP Oceans (2024) included "Hey Odja", "I T'Aime", "Ku Bo" and "Sigilo", while "Nu Ka Sta Para", with McAcondize, rose to the lead of Apple Music in Cape Verde.
On stage, Neyna wears Cape Verde's colours on major international scenes: NOS Alive in 2023, Rock in Rio Lisbon in 2024 and the Gamboa Festival, in front of more than 20,000 people in his home town of Praia, after the Santa Maria Festival in 2023.
