Nyashinski began in the late 1990s with the Kleptomaniax trio, formed in 1999, which revolutionized Kenyan hip hop in Swahili and laid the foundations of the country's modern rap. The group took a break in 2009 and Nyashinski settled in the United States for a time, far from the spotlight.

His return in 2016 is an earthquake: "Now You Know" and "Mungu Pekee", "Malaika", "Bebi Bebi" and "Hayawani" align millions of views and remind everyone who is the boss. Virtuoso rapper as well as melody singer, he alternates technical flow and choruses that all Nairobi resumes in chorus.

As an institution, he filled Kenya's largest theatres in residence with his "Showman" concept and remained one of the most popular artists in the country year after year.
