Omah Lay
The voice of Port Harcourt who put the afrobeats in confession mode — Singer and composer — afrobeats, afro-fusion
Biographie
Stanley Omah Didia, says Omah Lay, grew up in Port Harcourt, in a family of musicians: his grandfather played for the highlife Celestine Ukwu, his father was a drummer. First, he sang and exploded in 2020 with the EP Get Layd and the tube "Bad Influence", then "Godly". His first album, Boy Alone (2022), imposed an introspective Afro-fusion, between parties and confidences. In 2025, he climbed on the Red Stage of Color Café in Brussels; his new album, Clarity of Mind, was released in April 2026.
