RJ Kanierra
RJ Kanierra, a pioneer of Katanga Rap, danced the whole DRC with "Tia" and his "Rotatam Style", before signing at Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
RJ Kanierra, by his real name Joé Ngoie Mwema, was born on August 9, 1984 in Kolwezi and began raping in 1999. Located in Lubumbashi, he became one of the founding voices of the Katanga rap scene and developed a style that danced well to him, the Rotatam Style.
On 22 September 2023, his title "Tia" became viral and pushed him into the front of the national scene. On 24 November 2023, he signed with Sony Music Entertainment Africa; the next day, he shared the scene of Paris La Défense Arena with Fally Ipupa.
Since then, he has been making the most successful singles: "Lela" (August 2024), presented in particular at Visa For Music , "Posa" (2025), then "Pili Pili" in duo with Innoss'B (June 2026) and "Champagne", confirming his status as a Congolese rap star.
