Seun Kuti
Fela's heir, head of Egypt 80 — Singer, saxophonist and conductor — Afrobeat
Biographie
Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti, said Seun Kuti, is the youngest son of Fela Kuti. As a child, he is already on stage with Egypt 80, his father's orchestra, whose lead he took on after his death in 1997, at 14 years of age. Saxophonist and singer, he perpetuates an Afrobeat of combat, faithful to Fela's political texts: from Many Things (2008) to Black Times (2018), named Grammy Awards, and then Heavier Yet (2024), produced by Lenny Kravitz. In 2026, he is on the poster of Felabration in Lagos, alongside Femi Kuti and Made Kuti.
