Tagne
A Casablancian rapper of Cameroonian origin, Tagne makes the darija travel far beyond Morocco, from "Moroccan Dream" to "Lmektoub".
Tagne, by his real name Ilies Tagne, was born on 13 July 1997 by a Cameroonian father and a Moroccan mother, and grew up in Casablanca. Passionate about rap from childhood, he wrote his first rhymes in 2010 and published a first title, "Te7te Men 9obbia", in 2013. He then co-founded the Xacto duo with Madd and joined the collective Wa Drari led by Shayfeen, with which he published the EP "Extase" in 2016.
In solo form from 2017, he won with "BLAN" and then "Fratello" (2020), alongside Stormy and Khtek. His first solo album, "Moroccan Dream" (2020), carries Moroccan rap on the front of the stage, followed by the joint album "Jackpot" with Stormy in 2021. Tagne signs with Believe and founded his own label, Tanaprod, with the desire to structure the Moroccan scene.
In 2023, "Lmektoub" brought together leading guests — ElGrandeToto, Kaaris, Niro, Nej and Draganov — and Tagne became the first artist in the MENA region selected for the Spotify Singles program. He continued his momentum with the EP "Sabr" and the title "Salent idea" with Kerchak in 2025, and the single "Satic" in 2026, still on his official YouTube channel.
