The Ben
The R&B star in Rwanda for more than fifteen years, The Ben released his album Plenty Love in 2025 at a historic concert at the BK Arena in Kigali.
Benjamin Mugisha, known as The Ben or Tiger B, born January 9, 1987 in Kampala, is a Rwandan singer and songwriter. He was awarded as the best African R&B singer at the Salax Awards in 2008-2009 and moved to the United States in 2010, collaborated with artists from Detroit and performed until the United Nations headquarters in New York.
His title "I'm in Love" (2012) earned him the first prize of artist of the diaspora at the Salax Awards. He followed the successes — "Habi", "Vazi", "Naremeye" — and the regional collaborations, including "Why" with Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz (2021), which devoted him to the border of Rwanda.
On 1 January 2025, he filled Kigali's BK Arena for the concert "New Year Groove", his first major solo concert in Rwanda since 2009, and launched his third album, Plenty Love. In December 2025, he was named Artist of the Year at the Isango na Muzika Awards, and in 2026, he signed the single "Inshallah", whose clip exceeded eight million views on YouTube.
