Barabas and Masta Just, Lomé's "wind son": Since 2005, Toofan has invented ogbragada and cool-sucked and has danced all over West Africa.
Toofan was founded in 2005 in Lomé by childhood friends: Masta Just (Fatokou Kossivi Souru), the moody, and Barabas (Blaise Mensah Ayaho), the toaster nicknamed "The Magician", first joined by All One. The band was propelled in 2006 by its anthem to the Togos' Spiders, qualified for the World Cup.
The creators of the concepts "ogbragada" — a mixture of hip-hop and Togolese rhythms — then "cool-catched" they chain the tubes: "Gweta", "Apero" with DJ Arafat, "Téré Teré", "C'est pas normal", and the album "Conquistadors" (2018), signed by Universal Music Africa.
In April 2025, the duo completed the Zenith of Paris for his 20 years of career. Their foundation, in collaboration with Ecobank Togo, supported actions in favour of people with disabilities.
