Tyler ICU
A producer and DJ from Kempton Park, Tyler ICU signed with "Mnike" one of the greatest successes in the history of the Amapiano.
Austin Khulani Baloyi, says Tyler ICU, is born and grew up in Kempton Park, Gauteng, at the gates of Johannesburg. He is noted in 2020 with "Bella Ciao", recorded with Nicole Elocin, DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small for the Money Heist project, which propels him into the heart of the new wave of amaplanano.
In 2021, "Banyana", with DJ Maphorisa, became a platinum double record, and "Izolo" won the South African Music Awards for the Registration of the Year. But it was "Mnike" (2023), with Tumelo.za and DJ Maphorisa, which changed scale: 16 weeks number 1 in South Africa, platinum certification and planetary success.
Named MTV Europe Music Awards and BET Awards, and named the Best Southern African Artist at Trace Awards 2025, Tyler ICU is now one of the most influential African producers of his generation.
