Watendawili is a Kenyan duo based in Nairobi, composed of Ywaya Tajiri (Eugine Simon Ywaya) and Israeli Onyach (Edgar Israel Onyach). Their two complementary voices and their shared writing sound a fusion — Afrobeat, reggae and soul — which was built title after title, from the first single "Moto" to the songs "Ibada", "Njia Panda" and "Malkia".

Their album "En Route" marks a turning point: in 2025, the duo placed four songs in Spotify's local Top 10 in Kenya — "Inakubalika" recorded with the band Matata, "Matata", "Cham Thum (Atoti)" and "Hadi Kesho" — while the album entered the local Top 5 and Watendawili joined the Top 10 of Kenya's most streamed artists.

On stage, the duo celebrated "En Route" with a launch concert filmed for its official channel, and continues its collaborations, including "Beba" with Xenia Manasseh and "Lavender" with Hornsphere.
