Zee Nxumalo
Born in Eswatini and raised in Alexandra, Johannesburg, Zee Nxumalo has become one of the most listened female voices of South African amapiano in a few years.
Zandile Nxumalo, known as Zee Nxumalo, was born on 6 January 2003 in Eswatini and grew up in Alexandra's township in Johannesburg. She first made herself known on TikTok, where her singing videos attracted a large audience, before publishing in 2022 her first EP, KwaNxumalo, which officially launched her career under her own label, Kwa Nxumalo.
The consecration comes with a series of certified titles: "Funk 55" (2023), five-time platinum record, "Thula Mabota" with Pabi Cooper, platinum record, and then "Ngisakuthanda", which became one of the biggest hits of the recent amapiano with more than 100 million listening. His EP Inja Ye Game (2024) confirms its versatility between amapiano, Afropop, 3-step and maskandi touches.
Now a leading figure in the new generation, she has been playing the big stages — including the Main Stage of the Bushfire Festival in Eswatini — and the distinctions, until she was named Ambassador Spotify EQUAL Africa and posted at Times Square in 2026.
