Snowball (Winterlude)
Winter Festival · Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
The festival
The Snow Ball turns the capital of Canada into a festive area every winter: ice sculptures at Confederation Park in Ottawa, giant slides at the Domaine des flocons at Jacques Cartier Park in Gatineau, Rideau Canal rink, shows and cultural events for the whole family. Created in 1979 and organized by Canadian Heritage, it is the flagship event of the winter season in the capital. Its mascots, the Glamottes, are watching the festival. Its 49th edition will be held from January 29 to February 15, 2027.
