The festival

The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival celebrates stories of adventure, exploration and mountain culture at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Its 51st edition is held from Saturday, October 31 to Sunday, November 8, 2026, with films from around the world, guest speakers — adventurers, authors and filmmakers — and numerous free events, including meetings, exhibitions and the festival market.

Tickets and passes are already on sale on the Banff Centre's official website. After the festival, a selection of films is also available online in Canada and the United States.
