The festival
At the foot of the Rockies, the small town of Canmore vibrates every summer with the sound of Alberta's oldest folk festival. Since 1978, the Canmore Folk Music Festival has been gathering folk, roots, blues and world music artists at Centennial Park, between concerts on the big stage and workshops where musicians create together, on a weekend. Its 50th edition, in the summer of 2027, will celebrate half a century of folk at the foot of the Rockies.
