The festival
The Charlottetown Festival, according to its organizer, is the largest theatre festival in Atlantic Canada, presented every summer at the Confederation Centre of the Arts since 1965. The 2026 edition, from June 6 to September 26, featured two iconic Canadian musicals at the Sobey Family Theatre: Anne of Green Gables–The MusicalTM (June 25 to September 5) and Come From Away (July 2 to September 26), co-produced with the Neptune Theatre in Halifax.
The festival also programs productions at the Mack and the Centre's outdoor amphitheater.
Good to know
The Centre reports more than 65,000 attendees every summer for the festival's productions, presented from mid-June to late September; Cavendish Farms is the festival's title sponsor for three years. The visual used is the official artwork of the 2026 production Come From Away, published by the festival.
You are at a festival, a concert, a village party, a traditional party, a private party — even two or three, on a boat or on a plane? Send us your images: Festival TV analyses them, and if they are broadcast, they pass on with your name in credit. Program in preparation. All the parties of the world interest us: we want to see how different communities celebrate life and manifest their joy.
