Cosquín Rock
Cosquín Rock · Santa María de Punilla, Argentina
The festival
Cosquín Rock was founded in 2001 by producer José Palazzo in the town of Cosquín, at the foot of the Sierras of Córdoba — the city of the legendary National Folklore Festival. The festival then moved to the Santa María de Punilla airfield, a few kilometers away, and became Argentina's largest rock event, with international editions in Mexico, Uruguay, Spain and elsewhere.
Every February, the Punilla Valley lives two days of non-stop music: more than 100 artists and more than 90,000 festivalgoers at the 2026 edition, from historic Argentine rock to urban scenes, not to mention the cobbled cuarteto that entered the program in 2022. The next edition will take place on February 6 and 7, 2027.
The festival archives are a treasure: the full concert of Pappo — the largest Argentine bluesman — in Cosquín Rock 2005, with Charly García as guest, directed by Canal 8 de Córdoba and Telefe, looks at itself in our media library.
