The festival

The Darwin Festival makes the tropical capital of the Northern Territory, in the dry season, "Australia's warmest winter arts festival": 18 days of theatre, music, cabaret and visual arts, from August 6 to 23, 2026, between shaded parks and warm nights. Its period also hosts the great gatherings of Aboriginal cultures: the National Indigenous Music Awards, the Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards and the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (6 to August 9, 2026).
