The festival
The Évala are the traditional initiatory struggles of the Kabyè country, celebrated each year in July in Kara and in the Kozah prefecture. During the festivities, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts organizes discovery tours for visitors, including to the Koutammakou (UNESCO World Heritage) and the Sarakawa animal park.
