The festival
For more than 50 years, at the beginning of September in Donacona, Portneuf, was a raming event with Expo Donacona: a gathering event for the whole family, where exhibitors presented the fruit of their work to thousands of local food lovers. Its 55th edition, in September 2023, combined musical shows, rides and exhibition of local products, with more than 150 exhibition booths in food, housing, health and more.
Led by its organizers Nelson and Simon Langlois, Expo held its last edition from September 5 to 8, 2024, at the Sports Complex Promutual Insurance.
Good to know
No 2025 or 2026 edition of the Expo is announced in the sources consulted. In June 2025, the City of Donacona decided to create the Donacona Festive Entrance, organized by the City, to "maintain the vivacity and dynamism that Expo Donacona brought": 1st edition in 2025, 2nd edition from September 10 to 13, 2026 (free shows under capital, rides, public market — same sector of the sports complex). The Expo was still listed for $8,000 in Quebec City's 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 selected projects, and was no longer included in the exhibition in 2026-2027.
