Fajr International Music Festival

The festival
In Tehran, the Fajr International Music Festival is the great musical event of the Iranian winter, following the Fajr celebrations. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Orientation, it brings together Iranian music — classical dastgahi and regional traditions — classical music, chorus, fusion and pop, with the Barbad Awards for the artists in competition. Its 41st edition was held from February 9 to 15, 2026, between Teheran theatres including the Vahdat Hall.
A week when a whole country listens to its own music, and to the music of guests from elsewhere.
