Festi Guinée Canada
Guinean culture and diaspora · Canada
The festival
Guinea's annual rendezvous in Canada: Festi Guinée Canada brings the Guinean and African diaspora together around culture, sport and togetherness. Incorporated as a non-profit organization under Canadian law and registered in Québec, its mission is to hold a Festival of Guinea in Canada every year — promoting Guinea in Canada and Canada in Guinea through their artists and cultures. Its values: Fidelity, Generosity, Creativity and Authenticity.
Edition after edition, the programme mixes cultural shows and evenings, a football tournament — with free workshops for children offered with Québec soccer academies —, a gala evening and a family and community barbecue: a week of reunion built on respect, solidarity and sharing.
The 10th edition — Special Edition
Ten years serving Guinean culture in Canada: the 10th edition, billed as a "Special Edition", runs from Friday, June 25 to Thursday, July 1, 2027 — Canada Day week. "A decade of commitment, a culture that shines; 10 years of transmission, values and excellence", reads the official poster. The host city of this anniversary edition is Montréal: recent editions were held there (9th edition, June 26 to July 1, 2026), and in Longueuil for the football tournament (7th edition, 2024).
