International Cultural Festival of Southern Music

The festival

New to Tamanrasset, the International Cultural Festival of Southern Music experienced its very first edition from 16 to 21 December 2025, under the sign of the "Mélodies du Sahara". Placed under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Arts, it brings together Algerian and foreign artists around the Saharan sounds, touaregue poetry and traditional desert music.

The kick-off is given on the esplanade of the House of Culture, then the nights fill with open-air concerts, between ancestral rhythms and desert choreography. A bridge between cultures, at the crossroads of the Haggar.
