Festival d'opéra de Québec
Thirteen days of outdoors, from the Grand Théâtre to the squares of Quebec · Quebec, Quebec, Canada
The festival
The Quebec opera festival was created in 2011 by the Opéra de Québec, and the Festival d'opéra de Québec held its 15th edition from July 21 to August 2, 2026, under the motto "Si grande, si humaine". Thirteen days of immersion in lyrical art, from the origins of Monteverdi to contemporary creations, around a flagship production: Dialogues des Carmelites by Francis Poulenc, at the Louis-Fréchette hall of the Grand Théâtre de Québec.
Between the theatres — Grand Théâtre, Théâtre Periscope, Théâtre La Bordée, Église Saint-Dominique, Université Laval — and a free urban section deployed in all the arrondissements, the festival takes over the entire city.
