Festival Fono
The festival that stretches the summer on the campus of Laval University · Campus of Université Laval (Grand Axe), Sainte-Foy, Quebec, Quebec, Canada
The festival
In Quebec City, the summer ended with music on a campus. The Fono Festival, created by BLEUFEU and Université Laval, set up its scenes on the campus' Grand Axe for three days of multi-genre programming — pop, rap, rock, folk and electro — between established and emerging artists. Presented by Beneva in collaboration with RBC, he held his third edition from September 10 to 12, 2026, with nearly 40 artists, his continuously animated Forêt Électro and a series of conferences that made his singularity.
Good to know
Born in 2024 (first edition 13-14 September 2024, with The Kid Laroi and Milky Chance), Fono owes his name to "phono", the phonograph: everything takes precedence over the sound experience. His signatures: the main scene of the Valley Beneva, the Boisé Coors Light, the Forêt Électro, the Shows of Too Much — secret performances in hidden place, at the end of the evening — and Fono Conférences, where music and ideas meet. The festival also serves as a laboratory living for research by Université Laval, including a project on immersive binaural sound. Preferential tariff for the ULAval student community.
